It has been subsidized for a long time by taxes. At about 8 billion each bail out. Which means fiscally it is horrible managed. I mean I could clean it up easily. As such, most mail trucks could easily have hybrid engines, saving a long term financial cost, employees would have to pay more in for their pensions, or they could start 401k's which I have mixed feelings on.
