"Although this year relations have had a good start, the problems are still there and could burst out at any time and lead to a step back in relations."
That is a bunch of @#$%.
This year alone the Communist Party of China has announced that it will not be becoming a Democracy with a political adversary system. Which means that their centralized economy and massive cold war economic international conquering based on Soviet Characteristics will keep going. As there is no party check to force them to take care of their rural Druid people. Even though they have tens of trillions of dollars in Sovereign Wealth funds, Reserves, and SOE's that could easily be spread out to their people. Thus causing a less Soviet Characteristic of international foreign policy with regards to their cold war weapons fo SOE's and Sovereign Wealth funds.
Also, the Communist have stated that they are not going to transition their communist soe and sovereign wealth funds. Even though they have free enterprises that are just as big as Democracy and Free Market enterprises and their cold war weapons of SOE's and Sovereign Wealth funds are bigger than lots of free enterprises in the Democracies and Free Markets placed together.
Along those lines the CCP took the Soviet Characteristically stance of blaming the US for the worlds economic business trough cycle which is normal in any business cycle. Just like the Soviets did. In which the CCP spent about a billion or so on international propaganda to blame the US just like the Soviets. Then the CCP started a similar unique and very elitist trade group called the Bric which is exactly similar to the Soviet Bloc. In which the Bric using the IMF as many Colonial Maoist are in the IMF declared full out cold war on the US currency and Free market currencies along with the idea of a diversification of currencies, just like the Soviets did with their currency and Bloc.
Then the US was so f'ing furious at the Communist Party for all of these things, we helped some Democratic Rebels, as opposed to their Colonial Maoist Rebels in India or the Phillipines which don't get me started on the MSS and SASAC movements in those countries this year. To more or less present a new opportunity when the people asked for help to create a Democracy in which they share power. In which the CCP after trying to say their single party totalitarian rule was a Democracy blamed Democracy on the worlds problems.
So the US took one of their communist Cold War resource camps via Oil. As the contract was unfair to other countries like India, Russia, Brazil along with others. As the Dictator Gadafi gave them an unfair contract just like Hugo did with his $5 a barrel to the CCP but no body else.
So you should really think about no reporting on the Communist Party of China and the United States Democracy as hold on what did you say. Good start. LOL sure, We donate our jobs and funds to the CCP then after literally taking our shirts they spit on us and try and blame us for their centralization of the worlds wealth and inability to grow their domestic market share and allow the market place to expand. They grow yes. But up for the rich and elite and not out. As out creates more selling for markets and up creates more dominance in international policy via investment holdings.
Again, bad statement for our relation with the Communist Party of China. Then they want to act like they are worried about our debt. When they own most of it and thus are using that ownership to destroy our currency and international clout, as constantly blaming the US and Democracy for everything exactly like the Soviets did. THEN AGAIN, THE TREND IS THAT THE CCP HAS SOVIET CHARACTERISTICS. What?

Also, there constant push to allow in their MSS and SASAC torch programs to take over our high technological industries via the domestic market as we are four years in high tech deficit with the Communists.
But hey, who am i anyways. Not like anyone in Idaho know.
